Frequently Asked Questions
Everything people ask before going solar in Pakistan.
Still have a question?
If your question is not answered below, call us or send a WhatsApp message. You will get a straight answer from an engineer, not a script.
How much does a solar system cost in Pakistan?
It depends on system size, equipment and roof complexity. We quote after a free site survey. Be cautious of anyone who quotes a price before seeing your property.
How long does installation take?
Two to four days for most homes. Two to six weeks for commercial and industrial projects.
Do you handle net metering?
Yes, end to end — documentation, DISCO application, bi-directional meter and approval.
How long does net metering approval take?
Typically six to twelve weeks, depending on your DISCO and how complete the application is.
What warranty do I get?
25-year performance and 12-year product warranty on Tier-1 panels. 5 to 10 years on inverters. Our workmanship is covered separately.
Will solar run my air conditioning?
Yes, if the system is sized for it. AC is a heavy load and it is the thing people most often underestimate.
What happens during load shedding?
An on-grid system shuts down during an outage for safety reasons. For backup during load shedding you need a hybrid system with batteries.
How often do panels need cleaning?
Every two to four weeks in most of Pakistan. Dust can cut output by 10 to 25 per cent between cleans.
Can I add batteries later?
Only if you install a hybrid inverter from the start. Otherwise you would need to replace the inverter, so decide early.
Do you install outside Lahore?
Yes. We work across Pakistan including Islamabad, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan and Peshawar.
Do you service systems installed by others?
Yes. We will inspect it first and tell you honestly what condition it is in.
Is solar worth it if I plan to move house?
If you are moving within a couple of years, probably not — you will not reach payback. We would rather say that than take your money.
